Barnstormer is taking a break…but back in 2015!
I have to find a new field for Barnstormer and along with a busy year ahead teaching music to 900+ children a week, finding a new home/boat and getting on with adopting as a singe parent I don’t have the capacity to run it again until 2015.
Barnstormer 2013 was without doubt one of the best weekends of my life and I met some wonderful people, saw and heard some fantastic music and made some new lovely friends. To have set up my own festival is a dream come true and that all had such a fabulous time the icing on the cake.
Even with a small festival like Barnstormer there is lots to do and without the work by my festival colleague Sarah Cowan and some very helpful hands of friends and service providers it simply couldn’t have happened.
We’re looking at new sites and have lots in place to make 2015 as special as 2013. I know, like me, people will be disappointed at the postponement but I’d rather get it right than not do it at all or compromise quality and health & safety.
I’ll be posting up photos from Barnstormer 2013 over the next few months on the website here and updating as I go on Twitter – @barnstormering – and our Facebook page at
www.facebook.com/barnstormering. I’d love to see any photos you may have from Barnstormer 2013 so do feel free to post up to the Facebook page!
